5 Ways To Reinvent A Brand You Look 2015
We all like to look good and look our best. Although, changing your look may not matter at all to you, but if you are uncomfortable with your style, or not happy with your appearance, we have a couple of tips to get you started on the look you’ve always wanted to have this 2015. Start the year with a Brand-New-You and a Brand-New-Feel. Most of us go along with the season, the weather or the even the moment, doesn’t matter as long as you bring out the style in you with confidence. So let’s go through these tips
Find A Style Icon – One of my favourite style icons are Nigerian Actress Mercy Aigbe and American Music Artist Alicia Keys. Sometimes just simple and classy gives one a sophisticated look without overdoing things. So, picking someone you would actually give some thought and a style you admire. Of course, it doesn’t exactly have to be the same look (most of their outfits been expensive) but just see how they combine colours and imagine how they would rock an outfit.
Hair Style – Maybe you’ve had the same hair style for such a while, to point where people can almost identify you coming from afar. Switch things up and try a new experiment on a new hair look – it could be all natural or new weave or whatever they have on market these days. However, make sure its a vogue, nice enough to get that secret admirer on your case. Keep your hair tidy and neat, you might not believe it, but the appearance of your hair can also say a lot about you.
Focus On Your Skin – As you update your look, also take time to focus on your skin care regimen. To start with lots of water, and wash/cleanse the make up off your face before going to bed will most likely give you a glowing skin. Getting enough sleep and using the right face lotion or cream plays a major part. Lest I forget, try to use less of make up and just go natural once in a while.
Update Your Accessories – Now here’s a secret to how this works without buying accessories or a new wardrobe, just make people think you did. A chunky necklace or two can do the trick, which some nice pair of heels or flat shoes, and top it off with a lush bag/clutch to complete the look. I have in many instances shake things up by combining most of my old wardrobe with some sparkling accessories and trust me, it does create a new feel and a reinvent brand new me. Then put a bit of lipstick, test out some colours that may suit your skin tone, not so much to scare them off, just enough to compliment your look.
Make Peace With Your Wardrobe – I use to have some sentimental items I just couldn’t part with, however this took up unnecessary space and made me think I had a lot of trendy clothes, who was I kidding – clearly, I didn’t. They were either too small, not in vogue, didn’t look as good as the first couple of times I had worn them. So, I woke up one morning, and started clearing out items I wasn’t going to wear again. So, give that a shot, you can either give them to charity, or post them on Ebay if they are really expensive items. This way, you have created a bit of extra space and know exactly what you have, which will enable you to mix and match well.
